Umbra Nomads is a field logging tool for solar eclipse observers.
It is designed for recording visual and environmental details around totality, including shadow bands, Baily's Beads, the diamond ring, corona activity, chromosphere observations, and temperature changes.
Create an observation and record the phenomenon you saw.
An entry can include its eclipse phase, visibility quality, observation surface, location, field notes, tags, and other relevant details.
Use the timeline around totality to record readings relative to the central moment of the eclipse.
Readings can include timing offset, intensity, direction, contrast, wind, and shadow-band activity.
Use the calendar to keep upcoming eclipse events and reminders together.
Photos can be attached to observation records when needed.
Umbra Nomads does not require an account.
Observation records and associated content are stored on the device. The app does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking.
